Hangvető is a common platform for independent artists and labels. It gained recognition as a distributor and an organizer of special events. From the outset we have been involved in festival and concert organization. We are proud to have been organizing world and folk music concerts at the Valley of Arts Festival between 2004-2010. The winds of change sweeping through the industry have brought diversification and newer directions in booking, radio production, and copyright administration. Hangvető firmly supports continuous networking within the region, and provides a local reference point in world and folk music.
The CAFe Budapest Contemporary Arts Festival will now be held for the 25th time, between 7–23 October, 2016. From contemporary classical music to theatre premieres, from popular music to contemporary circus, dance and visual art, the art of our times will again be highlighted in the Hungarian capital during the 17 days of the event series, which is realized in cooperation between Müpa Budapest and Budapest Festival and Tourism Centre. Besides the outstanding Hungarian artists, world stars will also be hosted by CAFe Budapest, which this year focuses on Polish art and artists, as well as on Béla Bartók, who was born 135 years ago.
